Freesia is suitable for homes with pets; however, if ingested, it may cause mild unwanted reactions. We recommend placing the flowers where animals cannot reach them.

Flower care

After purchase, trim the stems by 1–2 cm and place the freesia in a vase with cool, clean water, change the water daily, lightly re-trimming the stems if needed, and keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, radiators, and drafts. The buds open one by one — if the upper ones have already faded, the lower ones may just be starting to bloom, so do not rush to discard the stem.
