Safe for tails
Sunflowers are safe for homes with pets as long as animals do not try to chew them. If ingested, mild stomach reactions may occur, but while standing in a vase they pose no threat.
After purchase, trim 1–2 cm off the stem and place the sunflower in a clean vase with cool water. Change the water every 1–2 days and regularly recut the stem so it can absorb water more effectively. Keep the flower away from direct sunlight, radiators, drafts, and ripe fruit — in a cool place, the sunflower will stay fresh for longer.
