Molucella is considered safe, while ruscus and dianthus are toxic to pets. In general, any plants can be unsafe if eaten, so it’s best to keep flowers out of reach of animals and not let them chew on them.
After purchase, refresh the cuts by 1–2 cm and place the flowers in clean, cool water. Trim molucella and ruscus with an angled cut. Trim dianthus at the node (between the thickened parts of the stem) with an angled cut. For all flowers: use clean water, change it every 1–2 days, washing the vase and refreshing the cuts each time; remove any leaves below the waterline and keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, heat sources, drafts, and fruit — this will help them stay fresh and keep their shape longer.
