Considered non-toxic and generally safe for cats and dogs. However, if eaten, the tough leaves may cause mild stomach irritation or vomiting, especially in sensitive pets.
After purchase, trim the stems by 1–2 cm and place the berggrass in clean, cool water. Change the water every 2–3 days, regularly rinsing the vase and slightly re-cutting the stems. Keep the greenery away from direct sunlight, radiators, and excessive heat — this helps the leaves stay flexible, richly green, and beautifully curved for longer. Over time, the leaves may curl slightly and become even more graphic and expressive. After drying, it often keeps its shape well, so it can also be used as a dried decorative element.
