Matthiola is considered safe for pets, but it’s better to keep it out of their reach and not let them chew on it — like any plant.
Matthiola loves clean, cool water and gentle handling. After delivery, trim 1–2 cm off the stems and place them in fresh water. It’s best to use a tall, stable vase to support the delicate spikes. Change the water daily, rinsing the vase and refreshing the cut each time. Keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight, heaters, drafts, and fruit — this way matthiola will keep its freshness and fragrance longer.
