Ruscus is low-maintenance and prefers clean water. Immediately after purchase, trim the stems by 1–2 cm and place the greenery in fresh water. Change the water every 1–2 days, rinsing the vase at the same time. Ruscus does best in a cool place, so avoid direct sunlight, radiators, and fruit — this helps it stay fresh and firm longer.
