Celosia is considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. However, if a pet decides to taste the flower, it may cause mild stomach discomfort.
After purchase, trim 1–2 cm from the stems and place the celosia in clean, cool water. Change the water every 1–2 days and keep the flower away from direct sunlight, radiators and drafts — in a cool environment, celosia stays fresh longer and keeps its soft, velvety texture. Over time, the bloom gradually opens up and becomes more voluminous. Once dried, celosia retains its shape and texture well, so you can keep it as a dried flower
