Artichoke is considered safe for cats and dogs and is not classified as a toxic plant. If your pet chews on the leaves or bud, it may experience mild stomach discomfort, as with many plants, so it's best not to let pets chew the flower or drink the water from the vase🐾
Before placing the artichoke in a vase, trim the stem by 1–2 cm with a sharp knife and fill the vase with 5–8 cm of cool water. Change the water every 2–3 days and lightly trim the stem each time. Once its vase life is over, there's no need to throw it away — the artichoke dries beautifully on its own, keeping its unique shape and remaining a stylish decorative piece for many months 🌿
