If you have pets at home, it’s best to keep physalis out of their reach, especially if they like to chew on plants 🐾
After receiving, trim 1–2 cm from the stems and place the physalis in clean water. Remove any leaves that may be submerged. Change the water every 1–2 days and rinse the vase. Keep the branches away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Over time, the leaves and tips of the branches may start to dry out — you can gently remove them, leaving the bright orange lanterns. After that, you can remove the water completely: the physalis will dry naturally and remain as a dried flower, keeping its shape and color.
