Setaria is safe to keep in a home with pets as long as the animals do not try to chew on it. If eaten, it may cause mild stomach upset, but in a vase it does not pose a threat.
After purchase, place the Setaria in a clean vase with a small amount of water so it can gradually dry while keeping its shape and texture. You can change the water every 2–3 days, and over time the Setaria will naturally turn into a dried flower. Keep it away from direct sunlight, radiators and high humidity to help it maintain its appearance for longer. 🌾
