Strelitzia is toxic to pets if ingested. It is recommended to keep the flower out of reach of animals.
AAfter purchase, trim the stem by 1–2 cm and place the flower in a vase with cool water. Change the water daily and regularly trim the stem slightly so it absorbs water better. Keep the vase away from radiators, direct sunlight, drafts, and fruit — in a cool place, strelitzia keeps its color and shape longer. The flower gradually reveals new “petals”: inside, there are usually 2–3 layers that emerge over time. If this doesn’t happen, you can gently help — carefully pull the flowers out of the “beak” one by one. 🌿
