It’s best to keep the arrangement out of reach of pets, as strelitzia and anthuriums are toxic if ingested.
After purchase, trim all stems by 1–2 cm and place the arrangement in a vase with a small amount of cool, clean water, changing it every 1–2 days and occasionally re-cutting the stems. Keep the vase away from direct sunlight, radiators, drafts, and fruit, which can speed up wilting. Anthurium petals can be gently wiped with a damp cloth if needed, and strelitzia gradually reveals new layers of the flower — if they don’t emerge on their own, you can assist very carefully.
