If a pet chews the stem or flowers, mild poisoning is possible, usually not serious, but it’s best to keep them out of reach.
After purchase, trim 1–2 cm from the stems and place the gladioli in a tall vase with cool, clean water. Gladioli are thirsty flowers, so make sure the vase never runs dry. Keep them in a cool place away from direct sunlight and radiators. The flowers open gradually from the bottom up and stay fresh-looking longer. You can gently remove wilted lower flowers to keep the arrangement looking neat for longer.
